If you got a speeding ticket 18 months ago and another two months ago both for 9 miles over the limit how will that affect your auto insurance if you paid it the fines

January 26th, 2012

Fines paid or not, if you didn’t attend traffic school or fight the tickets and win – your points on your license go up. This is reported by your state’s Dept. of Motor Vehicles to your insurance carrier and they will deem you as a liability. Increases vary by vendor. When the opportunity presents itself, a 1-day sentence to traffic school is the best investment. Also, you would be surprised how often cops don’t show up for court on traffic ticket challenges – resulting in the citation being dropped altogether. You can always ask the officer, “When was the last time your radar gun was calibrated?” or the ever popular excuse, “My spedometer has been acting up recently, and I’m getting it checked out…”Anyhow, good luck and for heaven’s sakes – S L O W. . . D O W N !

Does auto insurance cover stolen cars

January 26th, 2012

Auto insurance will cover the theft of your vehicle if you maintain comprehensive coverage. Comprehensive coverage is generally sold in conjunction with collision coverage. However, unless there exists a lender that requires collision/comprehensive coverage, it is usually not mandated by law as it is considered “first-party” coverage (designed to protect the owner only). Comprehensive coverage also applies to the theft of belongings in the vehicle if they were permanently affixed to the vehicle. For example, if you have an after- market stereo system and sub-woofer that is stolen from your vehicle, it is covered under comprehensive coverage. However, if you leave your purse in the car and it is stolen, it is not covered because it is not permanently affixed to the vehicle.

How Do you Get A Florida 2-20 Insurance Agent License

January 26th, 2012

The 2-20 General Lines Agent License is the highest level of licensing for a FL Insurance Agent. The license enables the agent to sell all lines of insurance, except Life Insurance, which requires a separate license. The license may be achieved by: 1. Taking a 200 hour pre-licensing course and passing the state licensing exam, or; 2. Obtaining the 4-40 Customer Service Representative license and working full-time for one year as a 4-40 CSR. After satisfying the one-year work experience, the candidate may then take the UCF/Florida Insurance University 4-40 to 2-20 Conversion Course, which is 40 hours, rather than 200 hours. Having passed the conversion course, the student is then eligible to take the state licensing exam. NOTE: The University has a 4-40 licensing course that excuses the student from taking the state exam for the 4-40 license. It is called the Registered Customer Service Representative Designation.

If you have an older truck and a new dent appeared on it and you think your neighbor might have done it backing out of her driveway would you file a complaint or how would you go about it

January 26th, 2012

ask your neighbor, they may not have realized they did it…without any witness or evidence (is there paint transfer on either vehicle?) you’re sunk…ask around the neighborhood did anyone see or hear anything?……..if nothing you’ll either have to live with it, (the dent ) or there is coverage under the collision portion of your policy minus your deductible….. Hey – I watch Judge Judy – You got NO PROOF – only guessing – NO eye witness – Maybe CSI could take samples of neighbors car paint that hit your truck and match paint from your dent, ya think?
