Deadlines to meet

This letter is intended to specify in detail the damage and to describe what happened to justify a possible compensation.
It must be sent to the insurer respecting the legal deadline (see section L 113-2-4 of the Insurance Code):
• 2 days after onset of loss for theft, attempted theft or vandalism
• 5 days for all other claims, with few exceptions (including natural disasters).
By following these deadlines, you will enable the insurer to help you quickly and take necessary precautionary steps to protect your best interests and prevent the damage from getting worse.
In case of non compliance of reporting delays, the insurer may refuse to support the claim. Except of course in cases of force majeure, for example, if you people seriously injured and hospitalized.

Green Card: A Practical Guide
