Mutuelle sans delai attente, délai de carence, mutuelle sans stage.Lors de la souscription d’une complémentaire santé ou d’une mutuelle santé, une question récurrente : y a-t-il un délai d’attente ou un stage ou un délai de carence.
Définition du délai d’attente (ou délai de carence ou stage)
C’est le délai pendant lequel la mutuelle santé ou la complémentaire santé ne rembourse pas les frais engagés par l’assuré. Ce délai d’attente peut être sur un poste ( par exemple le dentaire ou l’hospitalisation ), sur la hauteur des garanties ou sur la totalité des garanties du contrat.
Champ d’application du délai de carence
Le délai de carence s’applique parce que :
* soit vous n’aviez pas de mutuelle ou de complémentaire santé jusqu’alors. L’organisme (la mutuelle ou la compagnie d’assurance) ne remboursera pas les actes passés depuis la souscription durant toute cette période de stage ;
* soit la mutuelle, pour éviter les abus, limite volontairement les remboursements sur un poste durant une période qui suit l’adhésion.
Quelles sont les mutuelles qui appliquent un délai d’attente ?
On ne peut donner ici une liste exhaustive. D’autant plus que certaines mutuelles agissent de façon régulière sur ce délai en procédant à des opérations promotionnelles en abrogeant ce délai d’attente ou de stage sur une période donnée de promotion.

Sur mutuelle.com, une mutuelle est sans délai d’attente (sans délai de carence ou sans stage : la mutuelle MPGS, qui offre jusqu’à 350% ( y compris le remboursement de la sécurité sociale ) en prestation dentaire.
La mutuelle Myriade : un délai d’attente est généralement pratiqué. Attention ce délai d’attente est abrogé jusqu’au 30/06/2009.
La mutuelle France Mutuelle n’a pas de délai d’attente. Toutefois, sur le poste dentaire, le plafond est limité à 300€ la première année de souscription.
