Joy customers with conditions: New Allstate Insurance Agency will be on business in Mississauga
December 24th, 2009
Chris Kiah, President & CEO, Christianne Dostie, Executive Vice President and Tim Currie, Assistant Vice President, Allstate Canada, joined Sheldon Leiba, President & CEO, Mississauga Board of Trade, and Frank Dale, Councillor, City of Mississauga, for the official grand opening of a new Allstate Insurance Agency in Mississauga. Earlier today, the Allstate officials opened another new Agency in Mississauga, as well as one in Markham.
In 2007, Allstate announced that it was going to enhance its agent distribution model in order to better respond to customer expectations and to the demands of an evolving marketplace and introduced the new Allstate Insurance Agency.
“For over 50 years, Allstate has built a reputation on having a personal relationship with its customers,” said Dostie. With the evolution to our new Allstate Insurance Agency model, we will strengthen that reputation and be more responsive to what consumers want when they want it.”
The new Allstate Insurance Agency creates a consistent delivery model by providing consumers with access to a team of experienced and knowledgeable Allstate agents who will each be accountable for managing specific aspects of a customer’s needs. In each Agency there will be:
– An Allstate Agent who will create and develop the relationship at new
business;
– An Allstate Agent who will expand the relationship by identifying
additional features to meet changing and evolving insurance needs;
and
– An Allstate Agent who will strengthen the relationship at renewal
time and provide customer service and support.
Vince De Angelis, Agency Manager for the Mississauga Centre location, explains: “The Neighbourhood Office model served the company well for many years. Many agents excelled in that environment. However, the need to change the model was a function of how best to respond to the ever-changing marketplace we compete in. Gone are those less visible locations. Instead the company has built new offices, conveniently located in more visable parts of the city. Mississauga Centre is one such location. The change brings to life the meaning of the slogan “You’re in Good Hands”. Already I have seen the potential of this format in staff interactions with clients. From greeting them at the door, to walking the client back to the appropriate workstation, staff has embraced this new world. And from the reaction of many of those that have come in, our clients are pleased with it as well!”
By the end of 2008, there were 80 new Allstate Insurance Agencies open for business in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. Upon completion there will be 93 new Agencies in Canada, including 3 in Mississauga and 54 across Ontario.
“Consumers in Ontario and across Canada are going to notice a difference with how we do business in the new Allstate Insurance Agency. Consumers told us what they are looking for and what they want from an insurance company and we listened,” Dostie added.
